Sales Specialist

Job Description

The Sales Specialist Job Description:

  • Serve as the point of contact for all PPD customer account management matters.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts (B2B), customer stakeholders and supplier liaison.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions/products according to customer needs and objectives and your schedule.
  • Clearly communicate the progress updates of daily visits to clients at the end of every business day and initiatives to internal stakeholders in our team chat.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • The ability to Forecast Sales based on request during the month to determine Sales quotas.
  • Update contact information of all existing and potential customers to update CRM weekly.
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed with respect to chain of command and policies.
  • Collection of payments for all sales based on the company collection methods and the company’s approved credit customers.
  • Attend company training events to assist with product knowledge and providing options to customers
  • Attend Product or Brand launch/training event where the Client’s global suppliers/partners attend to host and educate customers.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Specialist, an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role.
  • Must have a passion for Sales and customers and influencing sales to impacting positively on monthly targets.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level (Owners)
  • Solid experience with CRM software e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM and MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field
